Sir, Is it advisable to prepare separately for Prelims GS and Mains GS or we have to combine them ? And from where can we get information about various committees formed by Government and also various Flagship schemes of government ?

There are many constituents that are common in both Prelims as well in Main Examination syllabus and by looking at the type of questions asked at both stages, it is difficult to segment syllabus.   Moreover, by preparing with Main Examination orientation, major part of Preliminary Examination syllabus almost gets covered.   So, for an effective preparation, it is prudent to adopt integrated approach by preparing simultaneously for Main Examination along with Preliminary Examination.   For getting information relating to formation of various committees by Government and also various Flagship schemes of government, you can look at Press Information bureau website and various ministries websites.... hello, i am preparing for Civil service exam 2013. I have choose the public administration and geography subjects. I have attended weekend coaching for pub adm and almost complete the syllabus and during this course i found the subject very interesting. I am computer engineering graduate(2011) and studied biology upto 12th and have interest in nature and environment. That is why i choose my second optional as Geography(i didn't studied it earlier , only studied the NCERT books). I choose my subject not on the basis of seeing the scoring pattern rather on the basis of personal interest and ability to write answers. I am currently in private job and find very little time for preparations. So i decide to quit my job and want to give full time to preparations. I have decided to join coaching institute for geography and GS to give regularity to preparations. Now my question is, what should be my study plan in future to achieve success in my very first attempt and what things i have to take in consideration to enhance my writing skills for optional , GS and essay paper and what other things i have to do in due course of preparations so that i don't feel tired of it?
