As per the eligibility conditions for appearing in Civil Services Examination, “A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years. No guesses. It is difficult to predict anything right now. As such the pattern for Prelims (2011) and Main Examination (2013) has just been changed so, it is too early to expect some major changes in Civil Services Examination plan. Now, General Studies has might and you can always give priority to GS preparation. No, from CSE 2011, optional subject has been scraped from Preliminary Examination and now only two compulsory papers – Paper I (General Studies) and Paper II (Aptitude Test) are part of Prelims. For Civil Services Examination 2014, you should commence your preparation right now. You should draw a comprehensive plan for preparation covering all aspects and should start with General Studies (Paper I, II, III & IV). Try to cover most of the syllabus in next 4-5 months then take up optional subjects from October onwards and aim to finish it by January 2014. Sir plz clarify what is the current status of notification? i mean as we saw loksabha put a stay on new notification of UPSC,so what is the current pattern and syllabus of UPSC? there are many things circulating in the environment, like old pattern will prevail, within few days a new notification with small changes will come etc....etc Sir as a fresher i m too much confused,i m still not filled the form and waiting for some confirm news. its too much frustrating sir,its breaking momentum of freshers like me.
