Sir, I have done my B.Tech in Electronics & Communication branch. I have a query regarding the optional subject and the medium of the exam of the Mains. I want to take Electrical Engineering subject at my optional subject in CSE as Electronics And Communication subject is not available in the optional subject of UPSC. As you know that the medium of Engineering is English Medium, so if I will take an engineering subject as my optional then I have to write the answers in English language only. My question is regarding the medium of exam. I want to take Hindi medium because I am a Hindi medium student till 12th class and not as comfortable in Humanities subjects in english medium as I am in Hindi Medium and to prepare a fresh optional subject is a tedious task to me. Can I write my answers in Mains in hindi medium and english medium in the Optional subject (Electrical Engineering ). I am asking because if a person takes English literature subject as his optional subject then he can write his optional subject in English language and rest of the papers in Hindi Medium. So on the basis of this I am confused. Please guide me ATUL sir.
