In Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2007 only 69 candidates appeared with Medical Sciences as optional. 11 of them got recommened giving a very high success rate of 15.9% Looking at the data for Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2008, less than 100 candidates appeared with Medical Sciences as optional Subject.
