If you can express yourself better in Hindi, you should go ahead with it. Success in Civil Services Examination is all about your performance and securing good marks depend upon substance in answers and nice presentation. If you are not comfortable in English, how-so-ever good your preparation is, you may not be able to express properly. As far as securing high ranks with Hindi is concerned, scene is not as bad as you are painting. Among top 50, this year Shiv Sahay Awasthi (AIR-34, CSE 2010), Rahul (AIR-36, CSE 2010), Mithlesh Mishra (AIR-46, CSE 2010) have secured good ranks with Hindi Medium.
