for hindi medium students which subjects pair is the best for main exam please guide me as i am new in civil service i have a keen desire and also know my goal so please guide about the subject......... thanking you

The choice of optional subjects is a crucial decision. The question of picking best optional subjects is not as easy as you have casually asked. No one can predict such combination as one subject may have helped other candidate suceed; may not work in your case. A subject can be scoring and producing very good results but, if you don't have interest, you can not do justice with it. Better, you shortlist 3-4 subjects which you like and then try to zero in on the best combination.... Read More

sir, i am in a gov. job but still hunger to do something extra now the best stage for me is to be an IAS. sir, please guide me which is the best coaching for pre. and mains also.

It is nice to be eager to suceed;but, first understand the examiantion requirements. Coaching can help you improve performance but depending solely on Coaching institute is not going to work. Even for selecting the right coaching you need to select your optional subjects first and for General Studies also, it depend on medium of examination you are opting for. As you are in job, you may not get time to join coaching as classes are conducted at different timings. So, better you pick up some basic book to start with and start preparing. Once, you have some base you can think of joining coaching institutes. ... Read More

Sir, I'm pursuing my Master degree in Mechanical and I looking for civil serv. so,pls, let me know rather I should go with one of the papers with Mechanical (If I see this mother of exams absolutely) and sir, what could be second paper for a good health?

The best way to reach at conclusion is to look at Mechanical Engineering syllabus and the type of questions being asked in Main Examination in past few years. This will help you in understanding examiner's expectations and standard of examiantion. Since Mechanical Engineering is your own subject and if you find it fit, you can opt for the same. But, while chosing second subject, look at some subject from humanities background as picking another scince subject would make your attempt risky. You can choose between Public Administration, Geography, Sociology or may be Philosophy. But, before you say yes to any of these, make sure that you understand the subject and find it interesting....
