It is really crucial and if you planning to appear in CSE 2014, you are having a big task in hand.

Still, you should not give up. If you dedicate yourself fully for Civil Services Examination preparation, you can put up a decent performance.

As such, the exam-plan is such that you can’t look at this examination stage-wise. You need to adopt an ‘Integrated Approach’ for preparation and should commence preparation with Main Examination orientation.

This will cover almost Preliminary Examination Paper I (General Studies) requirements and for Paper II (Aptitude Test), you need more of practice rather reading content. You need not to devote days and months to it; smart way of preparation would be to keep it as mood-changing tactics in between General Studies preparation.

Moreover, one month prior to Preliminary Examination can be fully devoted to preparation and practice. Understand the importance of practice as Prelims is mind game and with practice you develop skills to perform better. Speed with accuracy is the key to success at first stage of examination.

Simultaneously, you need to prepare optional subject also as you will not get enough time to look at it after Prelims get over. We suggest you to pick a subject that complements with your academics so that you need not to start from the scratch. Prior knowledge will help you in decent preparation and taking to the level that matches with exam-standards.

A positive approach and faith in your abilities would do wonders; don’t waste time and indulge in serious preparation immediately.

All the best!
