Sir, I am a last year engineering student. Firstly, I was completely decided about UPSC and IAS but because of time limitation I decided to MPSC but, still I am confused. Please tell me which NCERT books I should refer? Or can I use Maharashtra boards books...please tell me about books n notes.

As you are completing your engineering degree, you have enough time to prepare and you should not show such haste in appearing for any examination – be it IAS or MPSC.

You should plan to take first attempt when you feel that your preparation matches with the standard of examination. There is no hurry; take your time and prepare effectively with complete exam-plan in mind.

If you are able to do it this year, it is fine or you may keep CSE 2015 as your target.

Commence preparation with UPSC syllabus in mind and your comprehensive study-plan would help you in handling and state PCS.

So, show the courage and begin your journey to the dream career!
