Step-by-Step moving towards the Goal Priyanka Niranjan has secured 20th rank in Civil Services Examination 2012. This success came to her in sixth attempt.
Inspired by the success of one of his friend’s selection with CSE 2010 she gained confidence and performed up to the expectation to achieve top rank.
The Civil Services Examination 2012 result brings smile back on the faces of Hindi medium candidates as a lot of candidates names are visible in top 100 who got selected with Hindi as medium for writing examination.
With Vandana (AIR 8; CSE 2012) grabbing top-most rank with Hindi medium, Priyanka Niranjan is second topper with Hindi medium and has took hold of 20th rank in the overall merit-list.
Priyanka’s success with top ranks is certainly a morale booster for Hindi medium candidates as the Hindi medium result last year was not that great.
After cracking UP PCS twice in 2008 and 2010, presently posted as BDO in Mathura district, Priyanka achieved this splendid success in her 6th attempt.
Indicating the factors that helped her perform Priyanka said, “No doubt, the environment was difficult; but, it was not impossible. Moreover, success of Shiv Sahay Awasthi (AIR 34, CSE 2010) from our group was highly motivating.”
“With his success, I got the conviction that I, too, can crack it and can achieve the dream post of IAS. He helped me in Philosophy and his advice helped in my improved performance”, she added.
In fact, we are a group of friends preparing for Civil Services Examination and besides Shiv Sahai Awasthi we had Dinesh Kumar Mishra, Chandan Kumar Patel, Satyapal, Gaurav Tripathi, Angad Awasthi and Vikram – all equally talented, preparing together and helping each other.
Post graduate in Economics from Allahabad University, Priyanka had achieved success with Philosophy and Literature of Sanskrit Language as optional subjects.
Being aware about challenges faced by Hindi medium candidates at Prelims level, I practiced a lot to make it sure that it does not pose any problem for me.
For Main Examination, I made a strategical change in optional subject combination. In earlier attempts I appeared with Philosophy and Sociology; but, this time I replaced Sociology with Literature of Sanskrit Language. Though, my Sociology preparation proved handy while attempting Essay paper.
In her Personality Test, this time she faced Prof. David R. Syiemlieh board and was asked questions largely related to bio-data and her academics.
Sharing her Secret of Success Priyanka said it is Hard Work and being Goal-focused helped her achieve.
Talking about the chances of success with Hindi medium Priyanka Says, “It does not matter much if you have a correct strategy in place. Believe in self and work hard in right direction.”
Well done Priyanka!
