Civil Services Examination is into a new orbit now. A lot of talented and highly qualified candidates are eyeing this space and making new moves to prepare for it within short period.

It does not matter for these talented aspirant that they are taking attempt immediately after completing academics or making the endeavour while continuing even their jobs.


Many a times, fresh candidates make their presence felt by taking up the challenge with 'believe in self' and prepare for Civil Services Examination understanding the intricacies involved. Being in touch with academics and just by maintaining flow with their study-plan help them manage it effectively.

Some candidates make a late move and take up challenge little late; even continuing with their job.

This is nothing new, many candidates have made such move in their career successfully that made headway in professional life; and later, at appropriate time they have made move to make career in ‘Civil Services’.

There are many living example who started preparation for CSE few month prior to notification, took optional subject that is totally new; still go on to accomplish the goal in their first attempt itself.

No doubt, many a times there is a role of coaching institutes who spell the magic and make it possible to cover the complete syllabus in 3-4 months’ time.

Plan your endeavour 

It is all about planning and doing homework before you commence your preparation.

This starts with the selection of books and study material for General Studies and optional subject; understanding the overlap in General Studies syllabus for Preliminary as well as Main Examination and so on.

Proper planning and dividing the syllabus into small parts to cover it effectively in the limited time you have gives you control to manage it effectively.

The thing that the most is time management – the most crucial factor in CSE preparation.  If you plan your preparation strategy, it becomes easier to achieve small targets you make to cover vast syllabus with such small steps. An efficient use of time will always keep the preparation pressure off.

Give your best!

Besides, you can get inpired by the toppers' view who share their experiences and success-plan. Motivation gives you strength to perform and you get a lot of insights about what and how to read, from where to learn.

As you advance, you gain insights how to understand the question and practice makes you learn how to write good answers. 

It is not as difficult as it seems.

When others can do why can’t you?

You just need to believe in your abilities, keep on making focused hard work, have patience; you will be able to handle it effectively and will come out as a winner.
