Sharing his success-plan Siddhartha Yadav (1st Rank; UP PCS) said, "this time I was focussed and concentrated on Main (written) examination so that I could score well. Even interview went off well and I was expecting good rank but, finding my name on top was really pleasant surprise."

Siddhartha Yadav, B. Tech. (Electronics & Communication) from MNIT, Allahabad has secured 1st Rank in UP PCS 2015.

The success that came to him in 3rd attempt will get him post of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).

“Although, the aim is post of ‘IAS’ and for that I started preparation for Civil Services Examination in 2012; but it was not as easy as I anticipated” said Siddhartha.
"When I began, I paid attention to each and every advice I got; but, what I missed was self-analysis. So, things couldn’t work out in my favour", he added.

Candidly talking Siddhartha said “Soon I realized that while facing such a gruelling competition, there is no single strategy that one can use in any situation and come out with flying colours."

"Like others, I also faced lots of challenges but, I had worked out a different solution for approaching problems I faced; last year, I left all other things and just concentrated on UP PCS Examination."

Despite whatever went wrong in preparation strategy, unperturbed Siddhartha observant on his goal just maintained consistency in study-plan and made it sure that he is reading something or other each day.

This time I was focussed and concentrated on Main (written) examination so that I could score well.

Even interview went off well and I was expecting good rank but, finding my name on top was really pleasant surprise.

When I commenced preparation for Civil Services Examination, I opted for Philosophy and Sociology as optional subjects and kept the same set for UP PCS.

Siddhartha’s love for Philosophy is evident from the fact that he has retained it as optional subject for appearing in Civil Services Examination this year.

He acknowledges the help he got from Dharmendra Kumar (Patanjali IAS) for Philosophy.

I got full support from my family and my parents were there to care and motivate when I felt low.

I have carefully created a vision of my future and appearing in UP PCS Examination was part of my strategy to get there and this success is stepping stone for the goal I have set for myself, says elated Siddhartha.
